I Played Visage until all the light switches where broken, and then it never felt scary, for me just annoying like work.Īnd of course its great to tell a story trough the enviroment, but why can i open nearly every drawer, but never find anything interesting. Its great for the first time playing, but after a time, and your second or third dead trugh the Girl, it not feels intense anymore, just annoying. But in Visage i thought, there would be more than just swiching the light off, and always open or close the doors. That the sanity level is rising, is not a bad idea, and games like Amnesia showed that its possible. and in the Basement, yeah i understand the intention, and i like it, but in reality, you can navigate in the darkness by using your hands for navigating around and not always running against black walls. Its often so dark, even when there is a lightsource near that you nearly cannot anything. Of course darkness and Shadows are a great element, but how its used here its mostly cheap. I mean the Idea is great, but how the gameplay was made, is more frustrating or cheap death instead of athmospheric horror. I am a little disapointed about Visage, or what we can play now. Hopefuly a shining stone amongst the steaming sh!t pile of cheap games that don't know the true meaning of horror.

If you want a GOOD horror game that isn't going to hit you with cheap horror then wait for the RE2 REmake to hit. Trust me, Kids.If you have played P.T, Outlast, Slender or any other of that crap. Ya know? A reference to a game that is much better in the sense of actual horror than this bloody game. I'm also extremely p!ssed that this cheap scare fest has the balls to have a Silent Hill 4:The Room reference in it. Something like Amnesia perfectly hits the nail on that. Games have seem to lost their sense of build up, tension and so on. And much more stale on repeated walkthroughs. Games like Visage are just another cheap horror fest that is fun at first but gets old quickly. When was the last time we got a PROPER horror game that doesn't hit you with the "Thing Jumps in your Face", "Loud Screamer", "Sudden Stinger" and all the cliche video game horror tropes.
